MyVetFinder is a UK vet price comparison service operated by MyVetFinder Ltd. Our website is myvetfinder.co.uk. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@myvetfinder.co.uk.
What data we collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide our service:
Email address and town or city. If you join our waitlist, we collect the email address and town or city you provide. This is the only personal data we collect.
Usage data. Like most websites, we may collect standard server log information (e.g. pages visited, browser type, approximate location by country). This data is aggregated and not linked to individuals.
How we use your data
Waitlist emails. We use your email address and town or city solely to notify you when MyVetFinder launches in your area. We will send one notification email. We will not send newsletters, marketing, or any other unsolicited communications.
Usage data. Used only to understand how the site is used in aggregate, so we can improve it.
Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the waitlist form. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us at hello@myvetfinder.co.uk and we will delete your data promptly.
Data sharing and processors
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your waitlist data is stored by Supabase Inc. (our database provider) under a data processing agreement. Supabase acts solely as a data processor on our behalf and is not permitted to use your data for any other purpose. Supabase stores data in data centres within the EU.
When we send your launch notification, we will use a third-party email delivery service. That provider is similarly bound by a data processing agreement and may not use your data independently.
Data retention
We will retain your email address and city until one of the following occurs: we have sent your launch notification for your area; you request deletion; or two years have elapsed without the service launching — whichever comes first. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@myvetfinder.co.uk.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction or deletion of your data; withdraw consent at any time; lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
MyVetFinder does not currently use cookies or tracking technologies beyond standard server logs.

We may update this policy as the service develops. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
